Over the past few weeks, I’ve been working on collecting items for the Explore Chinese New Year box and writing the teacher’s guide to go along with it. This is a big box, with a lot of activities! In the box, I have a string puppet, drum, gongs, cymbals, decorations and more. Students can make their own zodiac calendar, drum and lion dance mask as well as learn about how Chinese New Year is practiced in various Chinese communities around the world. I’ve had a few requests for this box already so I’m working to get it finished by the end of summer. For more information about what’s in the box, go here.
