I’m very pleased to announce that Museum Bento is now incorporated as a Community Contribution Company (CCC) in British Columbia! A CCC is a business model similar to a standard corporation except for the following details:
A CCC:
a) Conducts business and earning revenues for social and community focused purposes. An annual report is published every year to hold the CCC accountable to the public.
b) Requires, upon dissolution, distribution of all assets to community focused charitable organizations.
This model was chosen to best enable the mission of Museum Bento, which was created to raise awareness about Asia Pacific arts and cultural heritage among young people, believing this the best way to guarantee the endurance of cultural traditions and heritage sites.
