The Pacific Canada Heritage Centre – Museum of Migration (PCHC-MoM) and Museum Bento are working together to create a mobile museum box filled with artifacts and photos that tell the story of Cantonese opera in the lives of early immigrants in British Columbia.
Explore the beauty and artistry of Cantonese opera and its importance to Chinese-Canadian communities in BC through hands-on activities, storytelling, music and theatre. This box will travel to schools and other organizations throughout BC and open up a window into a little-explored part of Canadian immigration history.
This box is scheduled to be completed in early September 2017.
