Museum Bento CCC is a mission-based social enterprise incorporated as a Community Contribution Company (CCC) in British Columbia.
What is a CCC? A CCC is a business model similar to a standard corporation except for the following details:
A CCC:
- Conducts business and earning revenues for social and community focused purposes. An annual report is published every year to hold the CCC accountable to the public.
- Requires, upon dissolution, distribution of all assets to community focused charitable organizations.
Museum Bento builds a greater understanding of the Asia Pacific through stories, publications and educational resources for children, youth and educators. Young people learn about the rich history and cultures of the Asia Pacific, make connections to their own heritage and cultural identity and become aware of the importance of protecting our own common heritage.
