Museum Bento believes strongly in the importance of heritage and arts education and is committed to offering boxes and presentations to educators at nominal rates. We can work on a sliding scale and will customize programs for individual classrooms. Just let us know what you need and we are happy to discuss.
Presentations
Every Museum Bento presentation lasts approximately 90 minutes and is divided into three parts. The presentation begins with a discussion, followed by a question and answer period and a tour of the object displays. After this, students participate in a hands-on activity.
Presentations are suitable for a maximum of thirty students. To accommodate multiple classes, we can offer up to three of the same presentations in one day.
The cost for a three hour presentation is $250 + GST (90 min. presentation + 45 min. set up/take down).
For multiple classes, Museum Bento needs a central location for set-up and requires 4-6 library tables.

Box Rental
Museum Bento boxes are suitable for classes of 24-30 students. Each box contains objects/artifacts, a teacher’s guide, resource and reference materials. The teacher’s guide contains lesson plans and student activities to support educational goals and the included activities can be adapted to suit grades K-7. Educators who book a box will be sent a PDF of the included guide in advance to help with lesson and activity planning.

Rates for Programs and Boxes

Box delivery and pick-up within Vancouver, BC is $20. An additional $75 is required as a security deposit.
Delivery/pick-up outside of Vancouver (Burnaby, Richmond, North Shore and Fraser Valley) is the responsibility of the school.
